WHAT IS THE SIGNIFICANCE OF THE STORE CODE? WHY DO YOU REQUIRE IT?
Very simply, David Tutera for Gather & Gown supports local retail. Every order placed on gatherandgown.com is “credited” to a local retailer who makes our dresses available for you and your bridal party to try on. These store agree to help you with alterations (which is often difficult to find for wedding attire purchased online) and can help you find the appropriate accessories and foundations you may need for the big event. The store you select will pay for your free shipping to your home or business (in Canada or 48 contiguous states). Of course you don’t need to ever visit a store if you don’t want to, but Gather & Gown thanks your local store so we require you to select a store that we will “high five” on your behalf.
Where do I find an online store code?
Visit a Gather & Gown authorized retailer for a card with the store's unique code. You can also find store codes in the store locator.
SHOULD MY ENTIRE BRIDAL PARTY USE THE CODE OF A STORE NEAR ME OR EACH USE A STORE CODE ASSOCIATED TO THEIR OWN LOCATION?
This decision is totally up to you. When you set up a Dressing Room, the entire bridal party is associated with a single store code – that is, the one that is closest to the member who set up the Dressing Room. Each member of your bridal party can change their own store code when they visit their shopping cart in the check out process.
HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE FOR MY DRESS TO ARRIVE?
Whether you purchase in-stores or online, delivery is the same. An in-stock dresses will arrive at your store or address in approximately one week. Special orders will arrive in 10 weeks in the US and 11 weeks in Canada. All dresses are shipped from our distribution center in Carlisle, PA (USA). Please inquire if you require faster service than our standard deliveries. Expedited shipping charges may apply.
An 8-week Rush Delivery service is available for special order dresses in both the US and Canada for an additional fee. Please note that dresses with beading, sequins and embellishment are typically not eligible for rush service. You can coordinate rush orders with your local store. WHAT SHOULD I EXPECT IF I PLACE MY ORDER ONLINE?
Once you place an order, we’ll send you an email with your order number and the estimated delivery date for your order.
You’ll receive another email when your order ships. This will include a tracking number so you can track your delivery through the UPS website.
Please note: Gather & Gown does not require a signature for delivery. We suggest you have your order shipped to a place of business or location where someone will be available to receive it when it arrives. You can also have your package shipped to a UPS retail shipping and packing location and pick it up there.
are there exclusions to the free shipping offer?
We do not offer free shipping for online orders to Hawaii, Alaska and outside of the contiguous 48 US states and Canada. We work with fantastic retailers and Alaska and Hawaii. If you live in these areas, we suggest you contact them directly to place order. For all other shipping destinations, please call or email our customer service department who will research and notify you with the estimated shipping charge to your address.
how do I get the best price on a dress?
All authorized bridal shops sell David Tutera for Gather & Gown dresses at the price that is listed on our website. If an online store is selling below the price listed on our website, they are not an authorized retailer and you will not receive an authentic David Tutera for Gather & Gown dress.
WHAT CAN I DO IF MY BRIDESMAIDS ARE SPREAD AROUND THE COUNTRY?
Gather & Gown was made for parties like yours! You have two great options.
- You can select a Gather & Gown style by shopping at your local bridal shop and place all orders through that store.
- Each bridal party member can order online and have the gown shipped directly to them. Our Dressing Room is particularly helpful for this. You will receive free shipping by entering your store code in the shopping cart.
size & FIT
HOW DO I KNOW WHAT SIZE TO ORDER?
Check our Measuring Guide to determine the size that’s closest to your measurements. We offer sizes 0 to 28 with no up-charge for larger sizes. When selecting your size, remember it is always easier (less expensive) to take a dress in than to let it out, so if in doubt, order the larger size. I'M BETWEEN SIZES...MY WAIST MEASUREMENT WOULD PUT ME IN ONE SIZE AND MY HIPS AND BUST IN ANOTHER.
In general, we recommend that you order based on your largest measurement. However it is important to also consider the style of the dress. If the dress is fitted at the bust (as in an empire style) but not fitted at the waist or hips, the size with the closest bust measurement would be the best choice. Again, if you need help selecting a size, contact the local Gather & Gown retailer to select a size or call our customer service team at 844-LUV-GG01.
HOW DO I KNOW IF I NEED TO ORDER EXTRA LENGTH?
Although some styles vary, most floor length dresses are generally 45” from the natural waist to the hem. We suggest you try on your style at a David Tutera for Gather & Gown retailer to judge the length in the shoe height you expect to wear for your event.
All floor length gowns can be special ordered with 4” of extra length for an additional fee. Please note that extra length gowns are typically not available for 8 week rush service.
WILL I NEED ALTERATIONS? IF SO, WHERE CAN I GO?
Dresses are cut to our size chart, not to your body measurements, so you will likely require some alterations. There is a charge for alterations based upon the amount of work (time) required. The store associated with the code you entered at checkout will help you coordinate your alterations, either through an in-house seamstress or one they recommend to alter David Tutera for Gather & Gown dresses.
HOW CAN I GET A FABRIC SWATCH?
Gather & Gown provides fabric swatches by mail at no charge. Email us at firstname.lastname@example.org with the color, fabric requested, your name and address and the style and color (or fabric) you desire. You will receive your swatches in a week to ten days.
Can I order fabric to create a shawl or other accessories?
Please inquire with your local retailer for fabric requests. We do offer fabric yardage for most of our garments. Fabrics are priced by the yard plus delivery charges. We apologize that we cannot guarantee dye lot accuracy unless fabric is ordered at the same time as the production of the gown.
WHAT IS THE GATHERANDGOWN.COM RETURN/EXCHANGE POLICY?
Gather & Gown offers you the flexibility to exchange your purchase within 14 days of UPS delivery, but we do not accept returns. Due to the special order nature of our garments, there is a $20.00 restocking fee for an exchange. Please contact Customer Service at 844-LUV-GG01 to discuss your exchange prior to shipping your merchandise to us. We will provide you with a prepaid shipping label to return your gown in its original packaging. You will be provided with a promotional code equal to the original purchase price less the $20 restocking fee, that you can use to purchase a replacement gown on line. This promotional code is unique to you and is valid for 365 days.
To exchange merchandise, you need to meet the following conditions:
- You placed your order on our website, gatherandgown.com.
- Your order is in the condition you received it. Dresses that have been worn, washed or altered will be sent back to you.
- Your merchandise must have all tags attached to the garment. We recommend keeping tags attached to a dress until you are completely satisfied with your purchase.
- You can return the Merchandise in the original box.
All of our garments are carefully constructed and inspected before shipping to ensure they are impeccably made. In the unlikely event of a manufacturing defect, you should contact the seller immediately for a remedy. For online orders, please contact Customer Service at 844-LUV-GG01 or email email@example.com. WHAT IS THE relationship between GATHER & GOWN and other david Tutera brands?
We are pleased to be included in the family of David Tutera brands.
