2021 Bridal Shop Website Suggestions

Having viewed every bridal shop website in California, Texas, Florida, Pennsylvania, Georgia, New York, Connecticut, Massachusetts, Main and Rhode Island just so far… here are some thoughts from observations;

1- Be inclusive- Some store sites only show European type models; lots of the customer audience for our stores don’t fit that mold so let’s include all races, colors, and sizes. Everyone wants to feel invited!

2- Show store images- Especially the front of the shop and some inside photos too! Give customers a sense of what to expect when they get there.

3- About us- Customers want to know about the owner(s) and staff, especially as they have heard the bad stories of chain stores in Bridal.

4- We sell more than bridal so do show bridesmaids and whatever other products we sell for the bridal party.

5- It is a party, a gathering, so show groups of people. Single glamor bridal shots, especially cropped close-ups of the model, create an aura of unreachability for most customers. Let’s show some real brides and bridal parties too, so, again all customers feel welcomed.

6- Include a FB link and make sure it works. The other social sites are less important if at all. Also make sure to clearly show the shop’s email address. Make sure to show shop’s address. Customers want to know where exactly is the store even before contacting us.

7- Lastly, ‘less is more’- Keep the site simple and show a bit of our own style and taste. A site created solely by a media company will look that way and won’t introduce our store or our individual brand. Being ourselves and as different is better than to looking like something we aren’t. Be approachable!

Although all of these suggestion/thoughts won’t be appropriate; one has to sift thru hundreds of sites to see the patterns so hopefully a new improvement or change will come to mind. Sometimes little changes make a big improvement.
